Gregory County, South Dakota is located in the south-easternmost corner of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rapid City. Right alongside the Nebraska state line and the Missouri River that divides this beautiful state, Gregory County has four Catholic parishes serving the faithful here. St. Joseph's in Gregory, Sacred Heart in Burke, Immaculate Conception in Bonesteel, and St. Anthony of Padua in Fairfax form an incredible family of faith that has served the spiritual needs of our people for over a hundred years.
Fr. Jonathan Dillon is pastor of the Catholic communities in Gregory County.
ABOUT US
Our Mission
The mission of the Catholic Parishes in Gregory County is that of the Universal Catholic Church, namely that we share the mission of Jesus Christ: in worship to God and in service to others we strive for the salvation of our souls and of the world.
What we do
Our mission is carried out through the celebration of the Sacraments, family formation in the teachings and revelation of Christ, and service to our brothers and sisters.
Our Community
St. Paul, both in Romans 12:5 and 1 Corinthians 12:12, reminds us that through the Sacrament of Baptism we have become One Body in Christ. In Gregory County, despite four distinct parishes, we strive to live as brothers and sisters, welcoming all into the one Family of God.
